Access &amp; admission

Verify you meet all the access requirements.

To hold an official Spanish bachelor degree and master’s degree issued by a country of the European Higher Education Area.
Individuals holding a degree from a foreign education system, must prove that the university in question offers a level of training equivalent to that of the official Spanish master's degree and that, in the issuing country, individuals holding the degree in question are eligible for doctoral degree courses.

Other ways to access

To hold an official university degree that qualifies for master's degree courses, provided the holder has also completed at least 300 ECTS credits of official university coursework, 60 of which must be at a master's degree level (RD 967/2014)).
To hold the Diploma of Advanced Studies (Royal Decrees 778/1998) or Research Proficiency (RD 185/1985).

Foreign documents must be official copies issued by the competent authorities and be duly legalized and translated if necessary (see the section on legalization of documents and qualifications).

Legalized degree granting access to doctoral studies (bachelor and master’s degrees or similar) and syllabus and transcripts of degrees granting access to doctoral studies
Transcript of the doctoral degree achieved, including the date on which the research proficiency was recognized (only for Research Proficiency diplomas obtained under RDs 85/1985 or 778/1998)
Curriculum vitae
Passaport or ID card
English and/or Spanish language certificates (if available)
Proof of any current grants, scholarships or financial aid (if available)
A project and a summary of the subject to be developed, indicating the research area of interest

On the first and second day of the month, the applications received with all the necessary documents will be considered and sent to the Ph.D. Academic Committee, which then will decide in 30 days whether the candidate is admitted or not.
